COVID-19 CORONA VIRUS

Nursing Home

A message to our Assisted Living and Nursing Home Directors

As communities begin to feel the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) We understand that your patients are being directly impacted by this disease more than others. Patients, loved ones, families, friends and communities are all feeling the effects of the rapid spread of this disease.  The one constant about this outbreak is the impact on our elderly population being cared for in nursing home facilities.

Recently, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid announced aggressive new guidelines for nursing home safety. Restricting all visitors, effective immediately, with exceptions for compassionate care, such as end-of-life situations. Your residents should not have to choose their safety over the comfort of seeing loved ones. Research has linked social isolation and loneliness to higher risks for a variety of physical and mental conditions: high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, a weakened immune system, anxiety, depression, cognitive decline, Alzheimer's disease, and even death.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services are encouraging facilities to increase virtual communication between residents and families. This is where we come in. We can connect your patients virtually with their loved ones with the long or short term rentals of iPads. This will allow your residents to remain in touch with family and friends through user friendly platforms like FaceTime, Zoom or Skype. This enables families to connect face-to-face virtually with their loved ones, bringing a sense of comfort to both residents and their loved ones.

We offer both wi-fi and cellular versions, as well as several sizes to choose from. All of our iPads come with covers or stands depending on your use. Devices can be cleaned with Clorox wipes in between uses and will come sanitized and germ free, and can be operated while wearing disposable gloves. Please contact us to further discuss your rental needs and how we can help families stay in touch with their loved ones.
